Say no to standby
You probably remember that you parents told you to switch off the lights when you are not in the room. It is actually really smart to switch off your electrical equipments or items when you don’t use them. Don’t leave them on standby.
Recent studies showed that an average household wastes about 5% to 10% of its annual electric bill on electric items left on standby.
Only turn on the lights when you need them and buy energy efficient light bulbs.
You should set a good example to your kid(s) too and teach them not to waste energy.
